These paintings are pulled from photos taken on my commutes or travels throughout Los Angeles and Orange County over the years - transforming a daily, frustrating experience of being stuck in traffic into a hunt for a new vignette or composition. Once I edited out the cars, I fell in love with the architecture, light and space of the city.

I started painting flowers once a week in 2016, sometimes with patterns in the background & sometimes with a painterly backdrop.
